Looking for facade paint that protects your exterior walls against moisture, UV rays and green deposits? At Tintrio, you have plenty of choice. Here you will find the right pre-treatment for your facade and the ideal finishing coat.

Well-known paint series for your exterior walls

Tintrio offers you a wide range of exterior paints from various A-brands such as Sigma, Trimetal, Sikkens and so many more. To help you find your way around these exterior paints, we already list some of the top paint ranges that you can use to protect and decorate the exterior of your home.

For example, you have Sigma Façade, Sikkens Alpha Exterior Wall Paint and Trimetal Globacryl. An exterior paint that has everything in one is Lucite House paint, a real bestseller because this paint is extremely weather-resistant and applied to various substrates such as brick, concrete, as well as wood. In addition, this product does not require any additional primer. Handy isn't it?

If the above paint ranges don't mean much to you, scroll further because more information awaits you there such as which exterior paint you can use to create a special effect, how to get rid of small cracks without putty and so much more! 👇

Which preparation and finish for your facade?

Already thoroughly scrolled through the above products, but not quite decided yet? We are happy to help you further in your exterior project with our handy how-to guide 'facade painting'. Or dive a little further into the categories below, which show which products you can use to prepare the substrate and which types of finishing coats exist. Flexible wall paint, for example, is popular, as well as facade paint that brings a special granulated or crepi effect.

When is the best time to paint your facade?

In Belgium and the Netherlands, it rains regularly, which is not ideal for giving your facade a new coat of paint. During the months of October to mid-April, facades are hardly ever painted. This is because the walls would still be too humid due to the past climate. The best months are of course from May until the end of September when the temperature always remains between 10°C and 25°C both day and night. Not sure if the walls are still too damp to paint over? Then be sure to use a moisture meter; if it measures more than 4% moisture, we do not recommend painting.

Air humidity can also affect your paintwork. For instance, the paint will not be able to dry if the atmospheric humidity is higher than 85%. And that's not all, if a strong wind is present then dust can also fly into your wet paint. Keep all these things in mind and you will be able to pick out the best painting days in no time.
