How to use Levis Primer Mur & Plafond?
When you paint your wall for the first time, you need defintly a primer. But first make sure you prepare properly.
If you have cracks or fissures, first work them away with a suitable Pollyfilla product. Then you can lightly sand and dust the surface. Of course, the last step in your preparation is to cover everything you don't want to paint, such as a radiator with masking film and a door frame with masking tape.
Applying the primer is easy with an Antispat paint roller or the corners with a paint brush. The primer covers in 1 layer and will increase adhesion with your finishing coat and prevent gloss differences.
Finish: Overpaint your primer with a wall and ceiling paint such as Levis Muur Binnen Mat or Levis Ambiance Mur extra Mat.
A white or grey primer?
With Levis Primer Mur & Plafond, you have a choice of two different colours. Either the standard white or grey.
We hear you thinking, why do I need a primer in grey? Briefly explained: a grey primer is useful if you want to give your wall an orange or red finish.
These are fierce colours that do not adhere as well, but with a grey primer you do not need to add an extra finishing coat. So two finishing coats remain sufficient because you chose a darker primer.
If you go for a light-coloured finish, white primer is obviously the best choice.
