About RAL 9016
How white is RAL 9016 exactly?
RAL 9016, or traffic white, is a popular colour from the RAL Standard colour collection. It's probably the next-most-wanted white after RAL 9010. This shade is very light and rather cool-looking, whereas RAL 9010 is a warm white. Of all RAL whites, traffic white is probably the closest to 100% pure white. The difference is it has a small amount of pigments - obviously, as it is still a colour - which makes it a bit less 'flat' and a bit more refined.

Ideas with this colour:
RAL 9016 is a neutral, and therefore often used as a balancing colour. It is a popular shade of white to use on ceilings or in bathrooms. Because of its lightness, this white is excellent to use in smaller spaces, as it will make them appear slightly larger. The same goes for very dark spaces that could use a little extra light. The other way around, you might want to avoid RAL 9016 in rooms with a lot of natural light, as it may make them a bit too bright. Warmer whites such as RAL 9010 or RAL 9001 are probably a better choice in that case.

Cool, fresh colours, like greys or blues, are often a solid match for RAL 9016. Alternatively, you could combine this white with black or other dark colours, to create a beautiful contrast.
